Dead body of a youth found in bushes in Jaunpur

A scooter was also recovered some distance from the body. Police suspect the young man may have been involved in an accident. However, they are investigating the case from both homicide and accidental causes. The body has been sent for post-mortem.

Police officials stated that information about the owner is being gathered based on the scooter’s number plate. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras will also be examined to determine how the young man arrived there.

The deceased has been identified as Shani Kumar Sahu, a resident of Nakhas Oldanganj. According to preliminary information, Shani Kumar Sahu was returning from work in Wajidpur.

It is suspected that he was hit by a vehicle while returning and fell into the bushes, leading to his death. Police have informed the family.

It’s worth noting that a body was recovered at this same location a few months ago. This incident has raised concerns among local residents about security.

Residents say this is the city’s busiest intersection, and the repeated occurrence of such incidents is a cause for concern.

The police are investigating the matter seriously. The exact cause of death will only be determined after the post-mortem report is released.
