SP candidates announced for Graduate and Teacher MLC elections

The Samajwadi Party, led by former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, has released its list of candidates for the Legislative Council Graduate and Teacher constituencies elections to be held next year in the state.

The party has fielded a total of 5 candidates for the elections, including 2 for Teachers and 3 for Graduate constituencies. For the Teachers constituencies, the SP has given tickets to Lal Bihari Yadav from the Varanasi-Mirzapur segment and Kamlesh from the Gorakhpur-Faizabad segment.

In the Graduate constituencies, Dr. Man Singh has been nominated from the Allahabad-Jhansi segment, Ashutosh Sinha from the Varanasi-Mirzapur segment and Kanti Singh from the Lucknow segment.

In which constituencies will elections be held?

The graduate constituencies will be held in Lucknow, Meerut, Agra, Varanasi, and the Allahabad-Jhansi division. The teacher constituencies include Lucknow, Meerut, Agra, Varanasi, Bareilly-Moradabad, and Gorakhpur-Faizabad divisions.

The terms of the current members of these constituencies expire on December 7, 2026, and elections will be held in 2026. The announcement of the SP’s candidates has created a stir in political circles. All eyes are now on the strategies and candidate lists of other parties.
