New Delhi 14/10/2025 Report By Santosh seth

On Tuesday, Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 211 (poor category). Furthermore, the IMD forecast also predicts that the AQI will remain in the poor category in the coming days.

GRAPE-1 is usually implemented when the city’s AQI crosses 200. On Tuesday, Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 211. After the implementation of GRAP-1, there will be a complete ban on the use of coal and wood in hotels and restaurants.

In addition, strict monitoring will be maintained on the operation of old petrol and diesel vehicles (BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel).

Dust mitigation measures in construction and demolition (C&D) activities and the proper implementation of guidelines on solid environmental management of C&D waste will be ensured.

C&D activities will not be permitted for projects with a plot size equal to or greater than 500 square meters that are not registered on the relevant web portal.

Regular lifting of municipal solid waste (MSW), construction and demolition (C&D) waste, and hazardous waste from dump sites must be ensured.

No waste will be illegally dumped in open areas. Roads will be periodically cleaned and watered. C&D materials and waste will be properly covered within the premises.

Strict compliance with PUC norms will be required for vehicles. Diesel generator sets cannot be used as a regular source of power supply.

Keep these things in mind:

  • Keep vehicle engines properly tuned.
  • Maintain proper vehicle tire pressure.
  • Carry the vehicle’s PUC certificate.
  • Switch off the engine at red lights.
  • To control vehicular pollution, prefer hybrid vehicles or EVs.

  • Report air-polluting activities through the 311 app, Green Delhi app, SAMEER app, etc.
  • Plant as many trees as possible.
  • Celebrate festivals in an environmentally friendly manner and avoid firecrackers.
